GISPRO:\u00a0Genomic Information Systems Production – Deciphering the Life Language using the Information Systems Engineering<\/h1>\n

\"\"<\/a>En un contexto cient\u00edfico en el que el estudio de problemas asociados a la Ciencia de los Datos (Data Science) y a la gesti\u00f3n de grandes vol\u00famenes de datos (Big Data) est\u00e1n en continua expansi\u00f3n, c\u00f3mo abordar de forma efectiva, eficiente e innovadora la gesti\u00f3n, explotaci\u00f3n y mantenimiento de Sistemas de Informaci\u00f3n (SI) complejos constituye un problema de enorme inter\u00e9s.
\nS\u00ed existe un dominio ejemplar para tratar esos problemas de gesti\u00f3n, explotaci\u00f3n y mantenimiento de datos voluminosos, heterog\u00e9neos, complejos en su interpretaci\u00f3n y en cont\u00ednua expansi\u00f3n favorecida por los avances tecnol\u00f3gicos, es el del dise\u00f1o y desarrollo de Sistemas de Informaci\u00f3n Gen\u00f3micos (SIG) que i) posibiliten la gesti\u00f3n efectiva y eficiente de los datos asociados al genoma humano, ii) permitan hacer real el desaf\u00edo de avanzar sin descanso en conseguir descifrar el lenguaje de la vida y iii) puedan ser el soporte de plataformas software que materialicen el conocimiento desarrollado en el \u00e1mbito de una medicina gen\u00f3mica avanzada de precisi\u00f3n como dominio de aplicaci\u00f3n de una relevancia social incontestable.
\nPara alcanzar esos objetivos es necesario disponer de un soporte s\u00f3lido en el dominio de la Ingenier\u00eda de Sistemas de Informaci\u00f3n y el Modelado Conceptual. Nuestro Centro de Investigaci\u00f3n en M\u00e9todos de Producci\u00f3n de Software (PROS) tiene una amplia experiencia en ese dominio, y capacidad para materializar el proyecto GISPRO (Genomic Information Systems Production – Deciphering the Life Language using the Information Systems Engineering). GISPRO se nutrir\u00e1 de los resultados de otros proyectos como: ORCA (PROMETEO\/2009\/015) \u201cM\u00e9todos de desarrollo ORientados a la CAlidad de las tecnolog\u00edas de la informaci\u00f3n\u201d, IDEO (PROMETEOII\/2014\/ 039) \u201cServicios Innovadores para Empresas Digitales con ORCA\u201d y DataME (TIN2016-80811-P) \u201cUn m\u00e9todo de producci\u00f3n de software dirigido por modelos para el desarrollo de aplicaciones Big Data\u201d. La meta principal del proyecto GISPRO es utilizar los avances tecnol\u00f3gicos como fuente de innovaci\u00f3n, para ser explotada de manera inteligente y hacer frente a los ambiciosos retos de la sociedad, concretamente: descifrar el lenguaje de la vida.
\nDurante m\u00e1s de dos d\u00e9cadas hemos investigado, de manera te\u00f3rica y pr\u00e1ctica, los beneficios que el uso de las t\u00e9cnicas m\u00e1s avanzadas en modelado conceptual aportan al correcto desarrollo de Sistemas de Informaci\u00f3n. Durante este tiempo nuestros resultados han abarcado, entre otros, el dise\u00f1o de lenguajes de especificaci\u00f3n formales ejecutables, m\u00e9todos de producci\u00f3n autom\u00e1tica de software basados en modelos conceptuales, t\u00e9cnicas de modelado de requisitos y metas (objetivos), modelado de procesos de negocio, diversas transformaciones entre modelos conceptuales para soportar arquitecturas MDA (\u201cModel-driven Architecture\u201d) y varias plataformas software, siempre en ambientes de desarrollo dirigido por modelos (MDD). Un conjunto extenso de conocimientos que hemos utilizado en diversos \u00e1mbitos de aplicaci\u00f3n pr\u00e1ctica, especialmente orientado al dise\u00f1o e implementaci\u00f3n de sistemas organizacionales. Dicha aplicaci\u00f3n se ha realizado siempre combinando una perspectiva te\u00f3rica robusta, desde el punto de vista metodol\u00f3gico, y una perspectiva pr\u00e1ctica que materialice los resultados con una visi\u00f3n de producto final.
\nPor tanto, con la intenci\u00f3n de ir un paso m\u00e1s all\u00e1 en este trayecto cient\u00edfico, el proyecto GISPRO va a centrarse en el dise\u00f1o y desarrollo de Sistemas de Informaci\u00f3n, desde una perspectiva de producci\u00f3n seg\u00fan la figura 1 (conceptos que se ver\u00e1n posteriormente en los objetivos y plan de trabajo), para un dominio especialmente complejo, atractivo y relevante para la sociedad, tanto a nivel auton\u00f3mico como a escala mundial: el entendimiento del genoma, y el descifrado del lenguaje de la vida que dicho entendimiento conlleva.
\nComo planteamiento transversal y para hacer frente a la demanda de la investigaci\u00f3n sanitaria del futuro de una forma rigurosa el proyecto contempla, desde sus inicios y en todas sus fases de desarrollo, la incorporaci\u00f3n de la perspectiva de g\u00e9nero. Esta incorporaci\u00f3n es necesaria ya que en el campo de la salud se est\u00e1 intentando promover cada vez m\u00e1s el estudio de la dimensi\u00f3n de g\u00e9nero, considerando la segregaci\u00f3n por g\u00e9neros y otras variables sociales, al haberse comprobado que tradicionalmente la investigaci\u00f3n en salud no la ha contemplado con la rigurosidad requerida derivando en aproximaciones parciales y estereotipadas, as\u00ed como vac\u00edos de conocimiento que se han trasladado a la pr\u00e1ctica sanitaria actual. Esta variable es un tema donde queda mucho por investigar y que ser\u00e1 de gran inter\u00e9s para la sociedad. Por tanto, la estrategia del proyecto es proporcionar capacidad a los Sistemas de Informaci\u00f3n del \u00e1mbito gen\u00f3mico para gestionar variables de g\u00e9nero tan importantes como (por ejemplo) las del sexo (hombre y mujer), la clase social, la edad, la etnia, para su posterior uso en investigaci\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica\/m\u00e9dica.
\nDesde la perspectiva metodol\u00f3gica del proyecto, si hay alg\u00fan ejemplo paradigm\u00e1tico de entorno complejo para la gesti\u00f3n de datos, ese es -como se se\u00f1alaba anteriormente- el entorno gen\u00f3mico. Existe adem\u00e1s un \u00e1mbito de aplicaci\u00f3n especialmente significativo, que es el de la Medicina de Precisi\u00f3n (tambi\u00e9n denominada Medicina Personalizada), que aspira a revolucionar la forma de entender y materializar la asistencia sanitaria que estamos acostumbrados a ver. Este \u00e1mbito de aplicaci\u00f3n lo consideramos especialmente relevante para el desarrollo del proyecto desde un punto de vista estrat\u00e9gico, y por ello constituir\u00e1 el caso de estudio que permitir\u00e1 validar la transferencia correcta de los resultados de I+D del proyecto GISPRO.
